The environmental patrol is on a mission!

The environmental patrol would like to thank you after nine weeks of good work around the world heritage area. It has been both exciting and fun to have such a summer job and they have taken the challenges head on!

A great deal of work has been done with signage, marking trails, building bridges, picking up bos, supervising landing sites, clearing vegetation and many hours of edge cutting. The environmental patrol has also had an important job of meeting guests in the world heritage area on the fjord, along the trails and at the viewpoints, where the dissemination of world heritage and local knowledge has been in focus. Once a week, the world heritage house on Bakka were open, where the exhibition was visited by many guests.

The environmental patrol has not spent much time indoors, and good examples at workplaces are Postvegen, Dyrdal, Stigen and Beitelen, the homestead Nåli, Stokko, Hovdungo in both Aurland and Undredal , Jordalen, Kulturstien, Aurlandsdalen, Fresvikåsen and Flåmsdalen.

It has been a busy workweek, but the young adults who have been involved have given good feedback about a great summer job. The park thanks you for your hard work and looks back on a good piece of work delivered.

Here you can see some glimpses from the working days we have had:
