Brita Underdal from Undredal is the winner of the photo competition "Living with the World Heritage"
Fotokonkurransen vart lyst ut sommaren 2015 i samband med 10 års-jubileet for verdsarvstatusen til Vestnorsk fjordlandskap. Vilkåra for konkurransen var at bileta skulle reflektera temaet «Å leva med verdsarven», fotografiet skulle vera frå delområdet Nærøyfjorden – altså frå ein av verdsarvkommunane, Vik, Voss, Lærdal eller Aurland. Kvar deltakar kunne delta med tre bilete kvar.
- The jury was very impressed by the quality of the tickets submitted. More than 100 photos were submitted that showed how people see and experience living with world heritage, says park manager Linn-Janette Underdal Skarsbø.
About the winner:
Brita Underdal is 25 years old and comes from Undredal. She is currently studying landscape architecture at the University of the Environment and Biosciences in Ås. She grew up on a goat farm in Undredal.
The jury:
In the statement of reasons, the jury wrote the following about the photograph:
"The picture "Bukkahenting" is a clear winner with its harmonious and good expression. The picture captures an everyday work task for farmers in the world heritage area, and is well composed."
Prize:
The winner receives a gift card from Aurland Sparebank worth NOK 3,000, in addition to a travel tripod for a camera worth NOK 1,199 from Fotograf Senderud in Voss.
