The funds will contribute to increased food production, development and modernization of traditional agriculture, organic agriculture, and development of agricultural-based industries such as local food and Inn på tunet. Application deadline April 1.
Eligible applicants are organizations, institutions, municipalities and various forms of collaborative bodies/networks, mainly within agriculture.
The County Governor of Sogn og Fjordane manages the funds for assessment and facilitation measures and has been allocated 3.8 million for 2017. This is a reduction of 1 million. Part of the funds are tied up in multi-year projects.
Examples of measures where these funds can be used:
- Food production: mobilization and advice to farmers for restructuring and innovation in traditional agriculture
- Organic farming: organic meat to the consumer
- Forests and bioenergy: area plans for forest roads
- Rural industries: mobilization and advice to buyers and suppliers for Inn på tunet
- Local food: network of businesses that want to do a survey/analysis
