Contribution to cultural heritage on the World Heritage List – Western Norwegian Fjord Landscape – sub-area Nærøyfjorden

This is a grant scheme for private individuals and foundations that own and manage cultural heritage in the Western Norwegian fjord landscape - sub-area. Nærøyfjorden .

What can you apply for?

Subsidy for safeguarding, restoration, care, monitoring and other urgent measures for cultural heritage, cultural environment and landscape in the world heritage area.

How do you apply?

You send your application to Vestland County Municipality either by e-mail to post@vlfk.no or as a letter to Vestland County Municipality, PO Box 7900, 5020 Bergen.

In the subject field/heading of the e-mail/letter, write: " NAME OF CULTURAL MONUMENT/BUILDING - Application for subsidy from the state budget 2021 chap. 1429 item 79 »

Advice and guidance in connection with the application

Each application can be about one cultural monument. You can apply for grants for several cultural monuments, but then you must submit one application per cultural monument.

An application for a grant must contain

name of cultural heritage
name and contact person for the applicant
description of the damage to be dealt with
description of how the renovation is to be carried out
budget for the work to be done
financing plan for the refurbishment

The following attachments must be attached to the application

Photo showing the damage to be repaired. Here it is important that you include both an overview photo showing the damage to the building and a detailed photo.
Cost estimate from a qualified craftsman
Documentation of craftsmen's experience with the restoration of cultural heritage
Power of attorney from the owner if the applicant is someone other than the owner. Where there are several owners of the building, it must be signed with authorization from the other owners.
