Inspiring study tour!
Inspiring study trip to the building conservation center in Trøndelag and Hardanger!
Last week in a gray and wet month of January, Verdsarvparken joined us on a trip to learn about the organization and activity of various building conservation centres. The Fjordkysten Regional and Geopark and Jensbua were the organizers of the trip, as was the Historical Heritage Association Sogn og Fjordane and took part.
The background for the study tour is the plans that Vestland county has for the establishment of a building protection advisory service in old Sogn og Fjordane county and the analysis of possible models for this. With this in mind, we visited the Building Conservation Center at Prestegårdslåna in Melhus, the Building Conservation Center at the Røros Museum and the Hardanger Ship Protection Centre, who all welcomed us with great hospitality, varied, professional programs and good conversations. Thank you for a pleasant and educational trip! We are looking forward to the continuation of the work with building protection!
