Have you ever hiked in Aurlandsdalen and wondered about the rock types and everything that grows in the valley?
Geologist Maiken from the World Heritage Park and botanist Jakub invite you to a guided tour through Aurlandsdalen on Sunday, August 23, where you will get the answer to just this!
On the tour you will get an introduction to the rock types, how the valley is shaped by ice and water, potholes, botany and how plant life changes in step with the bedrock. We also look at mass events that testify to a dynamic landscape, and at species that are unique to the valley.
There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, and you are guaranteed to gain new knowledge along the way. This is not a trip for those who want to set a speed record down the valley, but for those who are curious and want to take their time.
We hope you will join us!
