Cultural monument on the World Heritage List


Contribution to cultural heritage on the World Heritage List – Western Norwegian Fjord Landscape – sub-area Nærøyfjorden .

Who can apply?

Private owners and managers of cultural heritage in the West Norwegian fjord landscape – sub-area Nærøyfjorden Foundations are considered private owners.

How do you apply?

You send your application to Sogn og Fjordane County Council either by email to post@sfj.no or by letter to Sogn og Fjordane County Council, Askedalen 2, 6863 Leikanger.

In the subject line/heading of the email/letter, write: "NAME OF CULTURAL HISTORY/BUILDING – Application for funding from the 2020 state budget, chapter 1429, item 79"

The application deadline for 2020 is December 1.

Guidelines

Advice and guidance in connection with the application

Each application can be about one cultural monument. You can apply for grants for multiple cultural monuments, but you must submit one application per cultural monument.

The application for a grant must contain:

  • Name of cultural heritage site

  • Name and contact person of the applicant

  • Description of the damage to be repaired

  • Description of how the repair will be carried out

  • Budget for the work to be done

  • Financing plan for the renovation

  • Following attachments:

    • Photos showing the damage that needs to be repaired. It is important that you include both an overview photo showing the damage to the building and detailed photos.

    • Cost estimates from craftsmen.

    • Power of attorney from the owner if the applicant is someone other than the owner. Where there are several owners of the building, it must be signed with authorization from the other owners.
