How to explore the tourism of the future and facilitate sustainable rural tourism that takes care of local qualities?
In connection with the innovation program GNIST and the collaboration project of Aurland, Luster and Sogndal, the basis for the competition has now been published on the website of DOGA - there ask me:
How to explore the tourism of the future and facilitate sustainable rural tourism that takes care of local qualities?
The challenge:
Sogndal, Luster and Aurland municipalities all have three fjord villages with challenges linked to a locked infrastructure and high visitor pressure in the summer, something that has a negative impact on both residents and visitors. The municipalities will explore innovative concepts for the tourism of the future, which increase the local value creation at the same time as they take care of the local character and the good rural community.
Objective:
Rural tourism as a source of sustainable value creation with positive synergies for local businesses and residents, based on city-specific qualities.
