The Aurland Markets

The Aurland Markets, or Aurlandsmarknaden as it’s called in Norwegian, were arranged for the first time in 1997. The idea of the weekend was to bring life and energy to the centre of Aurland, Vangen, and to serve as an attraction for those who had moved away from Aurland to come “home” for the weekend, as well as an incentive for the locals to spend that specific weekend in Aurland. The Aurland Markets have taken place every summer since 1997.

You can visit the Aurland Markets own website here for more information about the weekend and this year’s programme (Norwegian text only).
